When I was a child , learning the multiplication table was one of the most boring thing I had to do. Naturally , I wanted Yuli to have a better experience then I did. This is why I have created this game to teach the multiplication in a fun way.
1. Click Here to download the board.
2. Print the board and laminate it.
3. Chose 12 discs to be used as chips: I used buttons but you can use any Bingo chips that are small enouth to fit the board.
4 You will also need two regular dice.
Chose a number you want to teach your child to multiply by. Use an erasable marker to write the number in the empty box.
Place one of the twelve chips on each of the first 12 multiples of the number. For example if you choose 3 put chips on 3,6,9 …30, 33 and 36. This in itself is a learning experience for the child.
Take turn rolling the 2 dice.
Add the numbers from the two dice , multiply by the chosen number (written on the board) and take the chip placed on the resulting number (if you are lucky and no one took it before you). For example if you chose to teach multiples of 3 and the cube rolled to 2 and 2 you multiply 3 by 4 and take the chip placed on the number 12 in the board.
The first player to get a chip will take the chip placed on the number chosen to multiply by in addition to the one he got. In the example the first player to take a chip will take the chip placed on 3 in addition to the one he got .
The game ends when there are no more chips on the board and the winner in the player with the biggest number of chips.
